Display of Listing Brokerage / Agent Phone Number on MLS Sites

NAR has updated its IDX listing display policy as follows:

Internet Data Exchange (IDX) Policy Statement 7.58 and VOW Policy Statement 7.91: IDX and Vow Broker Attribution. Require that participants’ IDX displays must identify the listing firm and an email or phone number provided by the listing participant in a reasonably prominent location and in a readily visible color and typeface not smaller than the median used in the display of listing data. The same standard would also apply to VOWs but is optional.

This rule change creates an opportunity for brokerages and agents with real estate listings to generate leads from these websites via inbound calls from consumers seeking to contact the listing agent directly.

These inbound IDX lead calls can be distributed to one or more agents via a CallAction call broadcast (like Google local service ads for real estate) and automatically logged into CRM's for lead follow-up.

How to Capture Inbound Lead Calls from IDX Websites

  1. Login to CallAction

  2. Click on Phone Numbers

  3. Add a dedicated phone number to provide to MLS

  4. Set the phone number Campaign name to IDX Leads

  5. Provide phone number to MLS when submitting a listing

  6. Your listing is syndicated to websites with your contact information for buyers to call you directly.

All inbound calls can be recorded and transcribed into text as notes into your integrated CRM like Follow Up Boss or BoomTown automatically with this call capture phone system.
