Learn How to Setup Your CallAction Marketing Automation Drip Campaign Featuring 7 Types of Drip Text Messages and Direct to Voicemail Drops

Build an Automated Lead Follow-Up & Nurture Text Drip Campaign with CallAction

The two most important factors to dramatically improve your online lead conversion are:

Get started by first familiarizing yourself with the CallAction drip campaign interface.

Now we will show you how to quickly and easily build a lead follow-up drip campaign.

1. Plan You Automated Drip Campaign

We recommend that you write out your drip campaign first. Review your drip campaign message cadence (frequency / scheduling) and messaging. 

Write out your voicemail message drops that you will be sending and practice them out-loud so they sound natural on your recordings

You can use our pre-written drip campaign templates for follow up, nurture or to re-engage old leads

Use the final draft as your guide to efficiently create your drip campaigns.

2. Upload Your Drip Campaign Media

Next, access your media library to upload content to be used in your automated drip campaigns. 

  • Voicemail Messages: call-in to (323) 531-5500 from your mobile phone to record your voicemail messages

  • Image Files: upload any images to be used in your campaigns.

  • Videos: we recommend you record your 15 sec or less videos directly from your mobile phone and save directly to your media library.  (Note: Native MMS videos must be less than 500kb as per mobile carrier requirements. This means your videos should be no longer than about 15 secs.)

3. Setup Your First Automated Drip Campaign

  1. Login to CallAction

  2. Click on "Tools" in top navigation bar

  3. Click on "Drip Campaigns"

  4. Enter a descriptive "Drip Campaign Name"

  5. Select your drip campaign sending frequency:
         a) 7 days a week
         b) Mon-Sat (6 days a week)
         c) Mon-Fri (5 days a week)
    (For highest lead conversion, 7 days a week is recommended)

  6. After Hours: This an alternate first message that is sent if your lead was received after hours. You can personalize this to say... "Hi, I'm following up regarding your email inquiry late yesterday"

  7. Delay: Select the increment of time to send the first message from the moment it is received. 

  8. Time: Select the unit of time to send a message.

  9. Sched.: If you select a scheduled time, select the exact time you want to send the message. This is useful for voicemail messages as you can reference the call time to make it seem more natural. 

  10. Type: Select the type of message to send. You have 7 different types of messages that can be sent.
         a) Audio Text: a text message with audio file attachment
         b) Image Text: text message w/ an image attachment
         c) Text Only: this is default plain text message
         d) Text Reminder: this is a text message sent to you
         e) vCard: sends your contact info as an attachment
         f) Video Text: native MMS video text
        g) Voicemail Message: this is direct to voicemail message

  11. Message: Enter your text message body. The system will show you the length of the message and if will be broken up into more than 1 message. You may use also use emojis

  12. Media: Click "Media" to select your audio, image or video attachment.

You have now built the first step of your drip campaign. Simply repeat the steps above to build out your complete nurture campaign.

Drip Campaigns Stop Automatically

When a lead responds to your campaign, the system will automatically stop the current drip campaign.

You may also manually stop any drip campaign in the contact record.

If a lead responds with a text like "Stop" system will automatically put lead into a "Do Not Contact" status so you don't assign another automated campaign by accident.

Automate Your Follow-Up Tasks

After you have engaged the lead, you may re-assign a new drip campaign that will start automatically based on your initial delay. 

As an example: Build a campaign to follow-up with a lead in 1 month. 

Set your delay to "1" and time to "month". That new drip will start in 1 month from the date & time you reassign the new drip. This can be done directly in your mobile interface or desktop in real-time.

Identify Your Most Responsive Leads

When a user responds to a drip campaign, we send you text notification with the 🔥 emoji to identify this hot lead, so you'll know to immediately engage this double-opt in lead. 

Missed the Inbound Call?

No problem, your CallAction system will fall back to your default missed call first & second text messages making your lead follow up simple. You can also use our built-in sales dialer to quickly call back your leads.
